Apply to Richmont Graduate University

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis as they are submitted. The Admissions Committee takes all aspects of the application into consideration. Please allow up to approximately four weeks for the Committee to review your application and contact you with their decision. We encourage you to submit your application prior to the deadlines listed below. Applications may be accepted after the final deadline on a space-available basis only. Please contact the admissions office to discuss applying after the final deadline has passed.

Official transcripts must be sent directly from each institution attended to Richmont Graduate University. Transcripts may be submitted electronically through Parchment or another secure electronic transcript service, emailed directly to our Admissions Team at admissions@richmont.edu, or mailed to Richmont using the contact information below:

Choose Your Application Section

This section is for the following degree-seeking students:

  • Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (Atlanta, Chattanooga, and Online)
  • Master of Science in Mental Health Care and Christian Integration

 

In addition to the application, students applying to the School of Counseling must also submit:

  • One Academic/Professional Reference
    The Academic/Professional Reference should be completed by someone who can address the applicant’s academic or professional characteristics. Ideally, it should be a professor or supervisor.
  • One Character Reference
    The Character Reference should be completed by a friend or someone close to the applicant. Ideally, it should be someone that can provide a candid evaluation of the applicant.

This section is for the following degree-seeking students:

  • Master of Arts in Ministry Leadership
  • Master of Arts in Spiritual Formation and Direction
  • Master of Arts in Trauma, Theology, and Ministry
  • Master of Arts in Ministry: Anglican Studies Concentration

 

Students applying to the School of Ministry, including students applying for entrance into the Graduate Certificate in Spiritual Direction, must also submit:

  • One Ministry Reference
    The Ministry Reference should be completed by a pastor, small group leader, missions leader, etc.  Ideally, it should be someone that can address your ministry involvement and who you have served with, under, or alongside.

This section is for students seeking admission to the Doctor of Ministry program.

Application Requirements:

  • Admission application with a $50 nonrefundable application fee
  • An acknowledgement that the applicant has reviewed the Statement of Faith
  • A 40 hours Master’s degree with 11 hours of Bible and Theology in Ministry or a related field of study
  • Two completed reference forms:
    • Character reference
    • Pastoral reference
    • Academic or Professional reference
  • Resume
  • Academic Writing Sample
  • Personal Interview with the Dean of the School of Ministry and Program Director
  • A personal statement that outlines the applicant’s intent behind applying for the Doctor of Ministry at Richmont. Said application must be between 500 to 700 words typed, double spaced.
