Student Accommodations
Richmont is committed to educating and serving students with disabilities who qualify for admission. The Office of Student Affairs coordinates and provides a variety of academic and support services to students. The university provides reasonable accommodations to the known physical and mental limitations of a qualified individual with a disability unless doing so would impose an undue hardship on the operation of the university or fundamentally alter a degree or course requirement.
A student seeking accommodations should complete a Student Accommodations Application and submit the required supporting documentation.

Grievance Procedure
As a nurturing group of educators, Richmont maintains that all people should be treated with dignity and strives to treat everyone with respect. In those cases when the student thinks that this standard has been breached, the student can submit a grievance by following the Grievance Procedure. Students can access the complete Grievance Procedure in the Student Handbook.

Order Textbooks
You can purchase or sell books for your Richmont classes through our partnership with MBS Direct Bookstore. You can search for the books you need by semester, class and professor and complete your order online. Visit the Richmont Bookstore at bookstore.mbsdirect.net
Counseling Referral List
Richmont maintains a list of licensed mental health professionals in Atlanta and Chattanooga. These professionals offer counseling services at discounted rates to students enrolled at Richmont. These lists are updated annually and can be found on the All Students Resource page (students must be logged into their Richmont email/Office 365 account to access) under “Find a Counselor & Spiritual Director”
Mentorship
Students have access to a wide selection of alumni and peer mentors during their time at Richmont and after they graduate. Alumni and peer mentors have a strong desire to pour back into the Richmont community through their time and experience. All mentors are committed to answering questions and supporting their Richmont mentee. Each mentoring relationship is unique, and many lead to lasting relationships.

Enhancement Programs
Richmont campuses provide various enrichment programs to promote community within the student body. These gatherings occur on each campus multiple times each semester and can include social gatherings, lunch and learn events, and student support groups.
During Lunch & Learn opportunities, students are exposed to guest speakers, including Richmont alumni, who share their varied work experiences as well as information about further graduate study. This resource provides an opportunity for students to receive more information about a specific type of client or client concern as well as providing an opportunity for networking with professionals in the area who are practicing.
Career Resources
Richmont’s Career Services maintains a list of helpful resources for your career search. Tips for writing a resume, creating a cover letter, and career websites are found on the All Students Resource page (students must be logged into their Richmont email/Office 365 account to access).
Campus Alerts
Richmont utilizes a campus alert system to notify students when either campus will close due to weather or other emergencies. Students are automatically enrolled in this program upon enrollment.
Training Opportunities
Richmont attends Continuing Education conferences focused on counseling and ministry. These conferences are held from a Christian perspective and are designed to provide training, spiritual renewal, and community to counselors, psychologists, ministers, and other helping field professionals. Current students are invited to attend and are typically offered a reduced rate or free admission.
Sexual Misconduct and Harassment
Richmont is committed to maintaining a safe and supportive environment free from discrimination, sexual harassment, and sexual violence. Sexual harassment is prohibited by federal statute [cf. Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, 1964, 42 U.S.C. Sections 2000e et seq. (1992); Title IX of the Educational Amendments, (1972), 20 U.S.C. Sections 1681 et seq. (1990)]. Adherence to Title IX is integral to the University’s facilitation of inclusive and productive learning and working spaces.
Every member of the Richmont community should be aware that Richmont is strongly opposed to sexual misconduct and/or harassment and that such behavior is prohibited both by policy and by law [cf. Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, 1964, 42 U.S.C. Sections 2000e et seq. (1992); Title IX of the Educational Amendments, (1972), 20 U.S.C. Sections 1681 et seq. (1990)]. Sexual harassment is a barrier to learning in the classroom and to productivity in the workplace.

Student Rights & Responsibilities
Richmont Graduate University is committed to honoring our mission and our students by setting standards of excellence in the areas of academics, clinical work and ministry, interpersonal skills, and personal growth. The University is also committed to students’ engagement in the evaluation process, which includes providing students with full information about the process, their roles and the role of the faculty. Students sign an acknowledgment of the following student responsibilities before matriculation into the university.
Richmont Graduate University has adequate procedures for addressing written complaints from students. The university alerts new students to the grievance procedures and Academic Appeals (for academic and non-academic complaints) within orientation, in bi-annual email reminders, and in the Student Handbook and Graduate Catalog.
